Claudio Lassala Presenting at Ozark .NET User Group

A great friend of mine, Claudio Lassala, will be presenting at the Ozark .NET User Group tonight.  Claudio is an awesome presenter and you should clear your calendar and plan to attend.

There is a large group from Northwest Arkansas making the trip so if you want to go but don’t have a ride call around, it looks like we are going to have a convoy. ;-).

Not only is there going to be a great speaker giving two presentations, “Tips and Tricks to Boost Productivity” and “Beyond the Core Concepts of OOP” but the give-a-way list is huge.  Can you say laptop!!!

I’ll see you there.

Mr. Claudio Lassala BIO: Claudio Lassala is a Senior Developer at EPS Software Corp.  He has presented several lectures at Microsoft events such as PDC Brazil and various other Microsoft seminars, as well as several conferences and user groups across North America and Brazil.  He is a multiple winner of the Microsoft MVP Award since 2001 (for Visual FoxPro in 2001-2002, and for C# every since), an INETA speaker, and also holds the MCSD for .NET certification.  He has articles published on several magazines, such as MSDN Brazil Magazine, CoDe Magazine, UTMag, Developers Magazine, and FoxPro Advisor.

IIBA Meeting: “The IIBA Certification Process”

The regular monthly meeting of the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) will be held Thursday, April 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Wal-Mart David Glass Technology Center, True North Conference Center (directions and maps are at the end of this message as PDF files). The presentation will be:

“The IIBA Certification Process to Obtain the CBAP®”, Annette Coody, Senior Business Analyst, Wal-Mart, Inc.

The CBAP® (IIBA BA certification) is a bit daunting. The application process requires that you thoroughly document that you really do have more than five years of business analysis experience, and then there’s the exam itself. This is very important because we, as a profession, want the certification to be meaningful and strong because we know that simply memorizing a bunch of BA terms and techniques does not make a person a Business Analyst. Annette will describe the application and exam processes for those interested in pursuing certification.

About Annette Coody:

Annette is a Senior Business Analyst for Wal-Mart ISD specializing in Transportation Systems. She has over 25 years of experience in logistics, and is the NWA IIBA Chapter Vice-President of Education.
